In this lesson, students will review previous content from Unit 1, 2 and 3 like feelings, numbers and colors, then start learning some basic vocabulary related to food. There will be a focus on linking the words or verbs we already know to the new ones we are learning, for example, the verb “to like”:is it a banana? No, it’s a cow/ I like bananas and oranges…

Lesson 2: Vegetables

In this Lesson we focus on some vegetables and the grammar point “there is/are”. Some of the target sentences are: There is a carrot, there are some potatoes.

The key words in this lesson are: carrot, potato, tomato. And we introduce a new number: fourteen.

We move on to the next lesson and we focus on the grammar structure: There is/ there are… We also work on expressing likes and dislikes: do you like chicken? Yes, I do!

Got a sweet tooth? In this lesson we work on stating what are our favorite things: my favorite fruit is a banana. My favorite sweet is cake.

Last lesson of this unit is dedicated to some words related to eating, like feelings or manners. We review some of the food and fruits we learnt earlier in this lesson and work on some key sentences like: I’m hungry. Chicken please! I’m thisty, water please! Thank you!
